SITA Trust is an ethical funding organisation dedicated to making lasting improvements to the natural environment and community life.

The Trust is a not-for-profit company, a registered and accredited environmental body that operates under the Landfill Communities Fund distributing funds donated by the recycling and resource management company SITA UK.

Since 1997 when SITA Trust began its funding programmes the Trust has supported more than 2000 projects to a combined value of more than £70m.

Funding Priorities:

 

Enhancing Communities Programme

 

Enhancing Communities is the name of SITA Trust's funding programme that provides support to community improvement projects. The Trust can support projects that improve public leisure facilities with 90 funding zones in England Scotland and Wales.

 

 

Enriching Nature Programme

Enriching Nature is the name of SITA Trust's funding programme that supports biodiversity conservation projects in England. The Trust supports projects that focus on a species or habitat identified as a priority in the UK BAP process.
